Sofia Cervantes

Sofia Cervantes is a licensed massage therapist and proud East Aurora High School graduate who completed her massage therapy training at Waubonsee Community College. Her journey into healing began long before her formal education—rooted in the love and spiritual wisdom of her Abuelitos (grandparents), and the divine purpose placed on her heart by the Most High.

Born into a lineage from Zacatecas, Mexico, Sofia was the first grandchild and quickly became her Abuelita’s apprentice in traditional herbal and energetic remedies. Her grandmother lovingly taught her the art of limpia de huevo (egg cleansing), while her Abuelo would affectionately call her the “Curandera del rancho.” These early experiences shaped Sofia’s path as a healer, blending ancestral practices with modern therapeutic techniques.

Before pursuing massage therapy, Sofia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 18 years. It was during a nursing prerequisite course that she was introduced to the massage therapy program at Waubonsee—and instantly knew it was a calling. She has now been a licensed massage therapist for over four years, offering Swedish, Hot Stone, Lymphatic, and Intuitive massage styles.

Sofia believes that massage and limpia go hand-in-hand. She often recommends limpia sessions for clients experiencing stress, anxiety, emotional heaviness, or energetic blockages. Each cleansing is unique, tailored to the individual’s energy. Her signature limpia process includes two parts: First, she sprays cleansing waters over the client and uses sage at the feet while calling in protection and guidance from the Most High and Archangel Michael. She then performs a head-to-toe energetic cleanse, often sensing the emotions clients carry and gently encouraging emotional release. In the second phase, she uses palo santo to invite in blessings and light, speaking affirmations and prayers into the client’s energetic field.

Sofia also works with chakra healing, inspired by her personal journey with hyperthyroidism. Through opening her own throat chakra, she was able to discontinue medication and return to balance—an experience that now informs her work with clients. She provides chakra assessments and healing support, understanding that each chakra carries a story and its own healing process.

Having walked through her own seasons of darkness, including a recent divorce, Sofia brings deep empathy and compassion to her practice. Her mission is to bring hope, light, and joy to others—helping her clients feel seen, supported, and spiritually lighter.
