Integrated Occupational Therapy
Occupational Therapy for Chronic Pain and Emotional Release
What to Expect?
On the first day, an evaluation will take place regarding body movement, coordination, strength, tissue health, pain, and the impact of the injury on the ability to do daily activities. Education will be provided on the likely cause of the injury and how to prevent further damage. A treatment plan will be developed to assist with moving through the stages of recovery, from acute pain/inflammation control to gentle stretching, and finally to strengthening. Additionally, health coaching will address thought patterns, diet habits, and exercise routines that can impact the ability to recover.
